Art Of Time by Swiss Watch Gallery

Maison Swiss Watch Gallery presents Art Of Time, their 2nd installment for the year after Time Kulture in August. This exhibition of luxury timepieces was held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from the 2nd till 13th October with participating brands like Cartier, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Piaget, Graham, Ulysse Nardin, Vertu, IWC Schaffhausen, Zenith & Jaeger-LeCoultre. This event was in collaboration with BMW, The Star, Tourism Malaysia, The Edge, Glengrant, Sheraton Imperial Hotels, American Express & Zurich.

I must admit that their invitation cards are pretty unique and one of a kind.

Loving the creative design of the card

I was honoured to be invited to the event and managed to learn a thing or two about watches. We were greeted at the entrance by friendly personalities and made our way to the various exhibition booth. Of all the participating brands, my favourite is Cartier

Cartier was founded by Louis Francois Cartier in 1847 in Paris. The mystery clocks (a type of clock with a transparent dial and so named because its mechanism is hidden) is one of the most celebrated designs in the house of Cartier. Apart from this, Cartier is also well known for its fashionable wristwatches and exotic orientalist art deco designs including the Tutti Fruitti jewels. Tank, Ballon Bleu de Cartier, Baignoire, Pasha de Cartier, Santos de Cartier & Creative Jewelled watches are amongst the collection for women's watches. My favourite of them all has got to be the Tank Anglaise collection.

The various types from the Tank collections

Such a beauty!

The Tank watch was created in 1917 by Louis Cartier. The first prototype was presented as a gift to General Pershing some years ago before the watch was introduced into the market in 1919. The lugs blend seamlessly into the bare edges of the flat vertical brancards, giving the watch its unique aesthetic. The clean, crisp lines have proved hugely popular with a free-spirited, elegant clientele. The now iconic Tank has inspired countless variations, yet managed to preserve its distinctive identity. We were also exploring other booths and fascinated by the exquisite craftmanship and fine timepieces.

Checking out the other brands

Guests were served with a variety of canapes, delicious desserts, wine & single malt scotch whiskey by Glengrant. We were amazed & mesmerised by the sounds of the jazz band for the night.

Loving the powerful vocals.

Guests were enjoying the wonderful performance of the band.

As a token of appreciation, guests were given a choice to choose either a money clipper or notebook with their names engraved on it. Thanks to Swiss Watch Gallery & BMW for such a lovely gift. :)
